Whitelisting (1)
Whitelisting entails binding your devices unique “machine identifier” (MAC Address) to an IP address on the firewall and then creating a rule to allow this IP address internet access. Newer devices can browse the internet unmonitored and more securely using “Private Mode” and “Randomized MAC”. This is intended for additional safety when using public networks. These features must be turned off to ensure that the MAC-IP binding is locked in place.
